My very much needed medication copay is very high, they told me that after Ive reached my deductible my copay will go down but that did not happen yet, so Im wondering how I will be able to keep up with getting my medication consistently if I cannot afford to pay my copay.

AETNA CUSTOMER SERVICE TOLD ME I HAD CHIROPRACTIC COVERAGE. THIS WAS THEIR EMPLOYEE.

THEN TOLD ME I DIDN'T WHEN I ASKED ABOUT RECEIVING COPAYMENTS FOR MAY 4, 2023 TO OCTOBER 1, 2023. SECOND TIME I WAS TOLD TO SWITCH TO PPO FOR OCTOBER 1, 2023 TO DECEMBER 31, 2023 AND I WOULD HAVE COVERAGE WITH INSERVICE OR OUT OF SERVICE. I WAS JUST TOLD WHEN I CALLED THAT MY APPEAL WAS DENIED WHEN IT WAS THEIR FAULT. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND OR TAKE AETNA AGAIN.

THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. I HAVE PAID OVER $2400.

OUT OF MY POCKET. DR HORN AND DR TREY HAVE BOTH HELPED ME WALK AGAIN AND CONTINUE TO BE PAIN FREE.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Deposit made to our account. Aetna didn't contact us after we complained it was taking so long.

I started a new plan on the 1st of the year. I was told I did not have to do anything to cancel my old policy(Aetna).

My RX policy cancelled just fine. Well Aetna did not and I was billed in January causing a major problem in my bank account. When I called in to Aetna they told me it would take at least 21 days for the refund. I have never heard of such a long waiting period for a refund.

I the mean time my account was so messed up it cost me extra fees and problems with other bills. I am disabled and live on a fixed income, It has now been 12 days since my phone call and still no refund...come Aetna I need my money back.

AETNA DISQUALIFIES VALID HEALTH INSURANCE CLAIMS FOR TOTALLY INVALID REASONS

Recently, we Connecticut retirees had our health insurance switched over to AETNA INSURANCE, a Hartford giant insurer, and we were assured that our benefits would be as good as those with the prior health insurer -- WHICH TURNS OUT TO BE TOTALLY UNTRUE! Actually, AETNA INSURANCE uses a disqualifier to reject totally valid claims for totally improper and specious reasons -- including many claims that our prior insurer, United Healthcare, would have readily and properly approved!

As but one example of AETNA INSURANCE errors, blunders, and improper claim denials: we were told that an MRI SCAN needed to resolve some arm and leg painful problems required six months of prior treatment in order to be approved -- when the whole purpose of the scan was to determine what type of treatment was needed! TALK ABOUT PUTTING THE CART BEFORE THE HORSE -- AETNA INSURANCE SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF ITS WRONGFUL DENIALS -- BEWARE THIS UNTRUSTWORTHY INSURER!

Denied Appeal for Cervical Spine Surgery

I have very little mobility of my neck due to a herniated disk between C5 and C6 and stenosis of my spinal cord.

Aetna's pre-certification team has wrongly denied my surgeon's request for surgery. They claim that I do not have at least 6 weeks of conventional PT.

Yet, I did have this amount of PT at my chiropractor's office. They claim that chiropractic documentation is not sufficient, yet only 5 percent of my session was spent talking to the chiropractor, while the remaining 95 percent of the session was spent in PT in their facility. Thus, Aetna is truly playing with words here. They are prolonging my pain and ill-health, and they should be brought to court.

They have no shame and do not care about the wellness of the people who pay their premiums each month. They are just racketeers who juice us of money, and do not help when it is medically necessary and when one needs it.

The doctor treating your herniated disc has to be the one to give you a PT referral. The PT notes and billing must be detailed for the insurance company to accept them.

That's practically absurd. If I have a herniated disc, what is the issue with my pursuing help myself?

If the surgeon needs to prescribe PT, then there should be no need for a pre-certification, since PT is a requisite component of an approval.

Aetna is just a corrupt organization that frustrates the genuine efforts of its paying customers. For you not to see this means you are as bad as they are.

The fact that you need surgery, and I believe you do, was lost on the chiropractor and PT you went to on your own. The reason their care has to be coordinated by the doctor is so a detailed assessment can be written. Their treatment is based on the doctor’s diagnosis and their goal is to treat your condition or assert further treatment will not cure the condition.

Mail man delivered card andstay picked it up the next day. When I called y'all on the 2nd to reorder the card they told me it would be here in 7 to 10 days.so when my 10 days was up still no card I called back on the 15 th and had to reorder again. I was pissed. And I still haven't got it. I'm out money that I didn't have had to borrow because Im on fixed income I don't get food stamps so now I owe over a 150 dollars real money. If I had card I could have used it to buy food , Dipper's. Pissed in Texas.

Denied pre-authorization

My knee surgery was denied because I didn't finish all 6 PT appointments even though PT cant help arthritis keeping me from fully straightening my leg which is affecting my hip. So in order to get it approved, I have to go three more weeks to PT that wont help and will cost me and the insurance company more money. THIS IS CRAZY!!!

Prescription just dropped from formulatory List

Out of nowhere, NO PRIOR NOTICE, Aetna dropped my Dulera Inhaler for asthma as my pharmacy called to let me know that I couldn't get it refilled! Now I'm told, after trying for over 2 horus to even get a rep on the phone, that the doctor needs to fill out a prior authorization then send it to Aetna, who will decide in 70+ business hours if they will accept or decline all in the mantime, i don't get to breath!!!

This takes place after raising their rates almost $200 per monthe more!.

I pay for an individual gold member over $16,500.00 per year now and Aetna cancels my prescription to force me to take a generic version so they can manke MORE MONEY! I am definitley leaving Aetna as they are HORRIBLE!

The second and third time she just hangs up on me. I find that unprofessional and very rude. The number this happens at is 800 872 ****.
