Avoid Aetna/CVS Health. They completely failed my family during an emergency.
My son needed ambulance transport after breaking his arm at school, and for nine months Aetna has refused to properly handle their part of the bill: only $340.88. They gave me false information, claimed they were contracted when they weren't, lost my appeal, made me do two conference calls, blamed the fire rescue for paperwork issues, and kept pushing me into new appeals even after acknowledging they owe the $340.88. I've made at least six phone calls, two conference calls, two appeals, and months of follow-ups, and Aetna still hasn't paid. I pay more than $1,200 a month for this insurance, and they can't even handle a basic emergency claim.
Completely unprofessional and unreliable. I strongly recommend choosing any other insurer.

This is a scam. Do not use them especially for eyes or teeth. They only want to pay $58 to get your teeth cleaned and if you’re out of network it’s only 60% of the $58 do not fall for this trap
They charge you $60 a month and pay only $58 per each teeth cleaning so do the math. They pay $116 a year to clean your teeth and charge you $$60 a month. Please people do not fall for this.

An Aetna agent sold me a policy stating it was mortgage insurance. This was all done by phone and was set up for automatic withdrawal.
Months later, I saw the charge on my account and realized I had never received the policy. I called three separate numbers, all of which went to voicemail. I wanted the policy and to verify what I was sold. I found their corporate number and they gave me a number to call.
That had me on hold for half an hour and then disconnected. I called corporate again and they tried the same tactic. I asked to be transferred to someone who could help me. I finally spoke to someone and asked what the policy was.
Turns out, it was a final expense policy. I requested a cancellation and was told it had to be done by mail. I wrote to them at the address I was given and requested a hard copy mailed to me with confirmation of the cancellation. It all took a little over two hours and it was like pulling teeth.
Now, I'm waiting to see if I was successful. I'll call my bank to see if I can stop the automatic withdrawal.

I have been given no opportunities to get my issues resolved. Ive been trying to get hepatitis C treatment for the last year and no matter what I do its not happening I am appalled and I am not happy with this insurance.

I have canceled my plan now a couple different times and everytime it was supposed to be canceled they gave me a confirmation number and now even my primary insurrnce plan. Is staying to me that I still have Aetna insurance and it's supposed to be long canceled I need to know why or what the issue is and why it's not being.

So, I've been getting this prescription filled for over 6 months, right? And the manufacturer goes and jacks up the price to $90.
Aetna, my insurance, is only willing to cover $19. So, I'm stuck paying the difference of $80. I tried going to other pharmacies, like CVS (3 locations), Publix, and Kroger, but none of them had it in stock. The whole thing was a huge waste of time, money, and energy.
And all I'm trying to do is get my medication legally. It's so frustrating!

AETNA CUSTOMER SERVICE TOLD ME I HAD CHIROPRACTIC COVERAGE. THIS WAS THEIR EMPLOYEE.
THEN TOLD ME I DIDN'T WHEN I ASKED ABOUT RECEIVING COPAYMENTS FOR MAY 4, 2023 TO OCTOBER 1, 2023. SECOND TIME I WAS TOLD TO SWITCH TO PPO FOR OCTOBER 1, 2023 TO DECEMBER 31, 2023 AND I WOULD HAVE COVERAGE WITH INSERVICE OR OUT OF SERVICE. I WAS JUST TOLD WHEN I CALLED THAT MY APPEAL WAS DENIED WHEN IT WAS THEIR FAULT. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND OR TAKE AETNA AGAIN.
THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. I HAVE PAID OVER $2400.
OUT OF MY POCKET. DR HORN AND DR TREY HAVE BOTH HELPED ME WALK AGAIN AND CONTINUE TO BE PAIN FREE.
